Climbing Wall

Climbing wall at Carrowmena, enjoy the thrill and the adrenalin rush whilst trying to scramble up the climbing wall 

Cycling

Cycle through Northern Ireland and you will be rewarded with incredible views of vast and varied landscapes.

Hill Walking Binevenagh

Explore the ‘Area of outstanding and natural beauty’ Binevenagh. Groups will be taught about how to read maps and how to use a compass 

 
Kayaking

Kayaking - Take your pick from a variety of sit in and sit on kayaks, you will be taught all the stokes and you will be going in a straight line in no time

 Abseiling

Abseiling is done on Carrowmena climbing wall or Limavady Roe Valley Country Park.

Archery

Archery is done at Carrowmena Centre or Foylehov. So u fancy yourself as a bit of a robin hood.

Camp Crafts

Camp craft is done at Carrowmena or up on Binevenagh . You will be taught skills and techniques for your survival in the wilderness 

Canoeing

You and your friends will be kicked up with all the safety gear and can have a fun packed session on our sheltered pond in Myroe just off the Foyle

 

Low Level Ropes Course

This assault course is suspended a few feet above the ground and is designed to encourage self esteem, trust and team building amongst the participants.

Night Line

 Participants utilise and develop teamwork and communication skills as they encounter a series of physical obstacles while blindfolded.

Orienteering

 Orienteering is done onsite or at Limavady Roe Vally Country Park. Learn new skills like map memory, knowing what all the symbols and finding your way

Raft Building

 Working together as a team, participants are challenged to construct a raft using ropes, barrels and logs, and are challenged to paddle their craft through an obstacle course.

Rock Climbing

 Roe Valley County Park. Participants are given the opportunity to challenge themselves and build their self confidence by climbing a rock face at Roe Valley O’Cahans Rock

Team Building

Team building Northern Ireland, engage in mental and physical challenges designed to build trust, self esteem and individual group skills.

 

Zip line  

Participants build up self-confidence as they challenge themselves by being clipped into a harness and suspended off a wire as they slide down to the ground level.

  • Fishing

    The River Roe is renowned for the quality of its superb salmon and sea trout fishing. Find idyllic spots along the river in the Roe Valley Country Park or any number of other parts of the district. There is even a disabled angler's jetty in the park. Permits and other information can be obtained from S.J. Mitchell, Central Car Park, Limavady. Benone beach is reputed to be one of the best bass shore fishing areas in Ireland.

  • Golfing

    The area is a golfer's paradise, from the excellent new course in Limavady itself to the 9-hole course set in the beautiful Benone. The spectacular Causeway Coast courses are only a short drive away.

  • Walking

    Limavady's hills are a sheer delight to explore on foot, on horseback or by bike. From the beautiful forest tracks along the river to the stunning views from the tops of Benbradagh, Binevenagh, Eagle Hill and on into the Sperrins. The Ulster Way, that amazing walk around the most attractive parts of Northern Ireland, passes along the entire eastern side of the borough.

  • Roe Valley Leisure Centre

    The Roe Valley Leisure Centre is a newly refurbished sporting complex in Limavady. Catering for all age groups, the centre boasts a wide range of indoor sporting facilities. The range includes swimming, football, badminton, squash, table tennis, aerobics and trampolining.
    Other facilities include the Health Suite and the Fitness Suite.
